DECARBOMILE aims at developing tailored solutions and demonstrate the full potential of decarbonised last-mile logistics in 4 living labs (Logrono, Spain ; Nantes, France ; Hamburg, Germany, and Istanbul, Turkey) in line with their technical, environmental and local socio-economic contexts.
The project follows the subsequent objectives:
- Develop interoperable and multimodal vehicles for Last Mile Delivery (LMD) in urban contexts;
- Enhance collaborations between local and global stakeholders for long term successful uptake;
- Optimise last mile logistics planning and integration in the urban fabric by developing innovative ICT tools;
- Develop innovative tailored business models integrating social innovations for a strong market uptake;
- Demonstrate full potential green last mile delivery in 4 living labs and investigate replication in 4 satellites;
- Integrate the LML concepts in the local public policy plans and European regulations.
All results and deliverables already achieved are available on the website. Currently, almost all experimentations in the 4 pilots cities are implemented or are about to be. In parallel, satellites cities (Sarajevo and Tallinn) are working on a regulatory framework to implement the cornerstones to enhance urban logistics solutions with there urban areas.
